Long shots score most
For example
3 for the exact score, 1 if you missed the score but got the right result. Then +2 if fewer than a fifth of players predicted that result, and +2 more if fewer than a twentieth predicted that exact score - two separate bonuses.

Each round has its own table, so a bad round is never the end of it - the next one starts everybody level.

Pestering people to predict since 1993
It started on a family holiday.
The first prediction slips were written out by hand on a family holiday, with no printer in sight, and everybody had fun with them. In 1993 they went round a classroom at 20p each for charity, the scores added up and a table printed so everyone could see how they did. Even a teacher gave in and bought one, not at all sure he was allowed to. It went online in 2002 as Predict the Premiership, and it has run every season since.
